Fatima holds a PhD in nanotechnology and molecular biology, she is a TEDx speaker, a multiple award winner, a renowned fiction writer and the founder of the high-tech company PreDiagnose. She is expert in developing micro- and nanosensors for the detection of cellular molecules and microorganisms. Her research led to the discovery that a number of sick children had infections that were not possible to diagnose with the methods available in clinics. As a result of her research and academic track, she has received a number of prestigious awards, including the Lundbeck Foundation Talent Prize for brilliant outstanding research talents in medicine and health and the best PhD of the Year Award by the Technical University of Denmark. Her TEDx talk, “Hacking into the secret communication… of bacteria”, about her research and scientific visions reached more than 40 thousand views within the first three days of its release. She founded PreDiagnose to transform her research into concrete benefit for users.
