Rudolf Mester is an adjunct professor at NTNU Trondheim where he performs research and initiates new projects in the areas of performance and reliability analysis of AI/machine learning methods, and for intelligent mobile systems (cars, ships, robots, …). He has studied electrical engineering with an emphasis on communication technology at the Technical University of Aachen. In the past he has worked for Philips Data Systems, the Research Institute of Robert Bosch GmbH, and Goethe’s University. From 2008 to 2011, he was the coordinator of U Frankfurt contribution to the Bernstein Focus on Neurotechnology Frankfurt (in collaboration with C.v.d.Malsburg, J.Triesch). In recent years, Mester has also been a guest professor in the Computer Vision Laboratory at the Electrical Engineering Dept. (ISY) of Linköping University, Sweden.
